About

This piece was produced in a two-day UnionDocs Radio Bootcamp workshop with instructor Sally Herships, the director of Columbia Journalism's audio program. On March 7, 2020, before it was a public health hazard, I went to a Key Foods grocery store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn to ask New Yorkers if they were stocking up on food and supplies as fears about the coronavirus started to pick up in the city. Here's what they told me.
